This is a 4-month Cyber Security Skills Development Programme starting on 1 November 2024. The programme is designed to equip unemployed youth with practical cybersecurity skills and knowledge. Candidates will receive hands-on training in the field of IT security, enhancing their employability in the digital sector. The programme aims to bridge the cybersecurity skills gap, particularly in local communities.

Responsibilities

• Engage in hands-on training that covers key aspects of cybersecurity, including risk assessment, network protection, threat detection, and incident response
• Apply learned concepts to real-world scenarios and projects, working closely with industry professionals
• Participate in collaborative projects, contributing to practical IT security solutions that address cybersecurity challenges
• Demonstrate a commitment to learning and applying new skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Qualifications

• Ages between 18-34
• South African Citizen
• Unemployed Youth
• Must reside in Pietermaritzburg, Phalaborwa, Mafikeng
• Diploma/ Degree in IT or related field
• Must not be participating in another Learnership or Internship programme
• Must not be enrolled at any tertiary institution, including TVET Colleges
• Must not be employed
